Architecturally inspired systems for superior style and performance

This spectacular architecturally designed project is located on the south coast of New South Wales. Designed as a pair of modern beach houses, these homes occupy a greenfield site overlooking the beautiful Gerringong Beach.

Architects Smart Design Studio designed the homes to encompass the surrounds of the site.

The form of the building is simple- a timber driftwood box with a white roof floating overhead.

The simplicity of the exterior was purposeful, to ensure the design did not detract from the magificant north view of the mountains and south view of the ocean.

The house positioning was well thought out by architects to make the most of the space.  They located the living room, kitchenette, and master bedroom upstairs, where the views are best. Downstairs, the main kitchen, dining room, family room, and bedrooms open up to the north, and westward, to the mountains.

A durable, aesthetically pleasing glazing system was required for this project to ensure views were maximised. Architectural Aluminium provided the aluminium windows and doors for this extensive project.

The Elevate™ Aluminium Systems range of windows and doors were utilised due to their durability, reliability and renowned longevity. Aluminium windows and doors coupled with 316 grade stainless steel hardware provided the homes exceptional corrosion resistance for their coastal application.

Elevate™ Series 704 sliding doors were used in living spaces, due to their ability to be manufactured in larger sizes to maximise views. The sliding doors also allow for a seamless transaction between indoor / outdoor spaces.

Full height ClearVENT™ windows were utilised in bedrooms to maximise views by minimising frame sizes.

A durable, aesthetically pleasing glazing system was required for this project to ensure views were maximised
