The Lakehouse was designed to maximise the northern aspect and protect itself from the west. Bretts Architectural Window Solutions worked with the owners, architect, and builder to protect internal living areas from varied sun angles coming from the western canal frontage.

The ability to capture each colour change without interruption lead Martin and Dina to go with the Series 704 SlideMASTER™ Sliding Door. It was installed as a cavity slider, so the panels slide into the recess within the wall, for unobstructed views.
Maximising sliding door widths, the Series 704 SlideMASTER™ reduced the amount of sliding door panels across the large openings, allowing the house to connect with the elements. The highwater resistance rating also made it ideal for the exposed west facing canal frontage.
