Sunshine, blue skies, shimmering waters and glorious bushland: Noosaville is a veritable shopping list of natural wonders. And from every corner of this beautiful lakeside home, those wonders can be enjoyed.

Right from the beginning, the owners of the property were determined to create a modern home that embraced the great outdoors. In consultation with Aboda Design Group, Jaicon Constructions and window-and-door manufacturer, Cooloola Glass, the AWS range of windows and doors was chosen to ensure the home was filled with natural light and seamlessly connected to the surrounding environment.

It wasn’t the first time the owner had worked with Cooloola Glass. Past projects had proved extremely successful, no matter the challenge. Given that the design demanded a myriad of door height options and unusual shapes, consulting the fabricator for this project was a no-brainer.

The Elevate™ Series 50 sliding door system was chosen specifically to frame the glorious bushland and lake views – and smooth-operating heavy-duty rollers make it easy to open up to the world outside and take advantage of cool breezes in the height of summer.

To achieve a truly unique finish, individual sills were cut into the concrete to create a clever flush threshold and the corner post was removed, delivering a seamless connection to the outdoors.

In the kitchen and living areas, beautiful Elevate™ Series 704 sliding door panels were used as large sliding windows to continue the design theme.

A gorgeous granny flat in the backyard also uses the Magnum™ 618 sliding door, not only creating a connection with the environment but mirroring the stunning design of the main home.
