The 2017 Australian Institute of AtEmerging Architect Prize Winners

Last night the final Australian Institute of Architects Emerging Architect Prize Winner was announced, congratulations to Ben Milbourne who is the Victorian State prize winner. Ben is the sole director of Bild Architecture, is a co-founder of Regional Associates, maintains a collaborative installation art practice and is a co-founder of NAAU. 

And there we have it, congratulations to the 2017 Emerging Architect Prize Winners: 

NSW – Tomek Archer of Archer Office 

ACT – Jessica de Rome of de Rome Architects

VIC – Ben Milbourne of Bild Architecture 

TAS – Thomas Bailey of Room 11 Architects 

SA – Esther Chew of Grieve Gillet Andersen 

WA –Michael Gay of MSG Architecture

QLD – Christina Na-Heon Cho of Cox Architecture 

The prize recipients will now go into the running to become the 2018 National Emerging Architect Prize Winner. 

The Emerging Architect Prize acknowledges and encourages the potential of emerging architects by recognising their efforts through an annual prize. The prize is not just limited to architectural practice, other factors considered include excellence in architectural research, community activities and the promotion of architecture in general.
