Architecturally inspired systems for superior style and performance

“Elemental House” sits atop a hillside, discreetly visible along a winding road in the hidden valley of South Newcastle. Homeowners envisioned a home that would reflect their personalities, while encompassing comfort and a sense of escape.

“With a very complicated design, there were many engineering hurdles to overcome, almost no one will ever see,” said Michael Henry.

Passionate about nature and sustainable design, they aimed to capture the sun’s energy in a dynamic build that tested the limits of high performing aluminium window and door frames.

A significant design element of this project is the seamless connection between the kitchen and the outdoors. The Series 411 ViewMASTER™ Bi-fold Door spans wall-to-wall, enabling occupants to admire the surrounding landscape from inside.

The Series 411 features a top-hung mechanism, that supports thick, heavy-duty framing while ensuring smooth, lightweight movement. Tested to withstand various conditions, this door is suitable for any environment in Australia, convincing the homeowners that it was the ideal choice for a Bi-fold door.

A project brimming with standout features, another notable element can be seen from the pool, looking into the dining room. The Series 400 Single Glazed CentreGLAZE™ creates a breathtaking fixed corner window, giving a ‘glass wall’ imitation. Large glass spans allow natural vistas to be captured from inside, flooding the dining room with natural light. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Series 400 framing allows diners to enjoy views of their surroundings, creating a peaceful atmosphere during meals.
