Contemporary Aluminium Windows and Doors for your lifestyle

Kangaroo Valley is a land of plenty just waiting to be discovered: the gentle morning mist, acres of farmland and Australia’s last surviving wooden suspension bridge. With its stunning waterfalls, bushwalks, foodie delights, and family adventures, it’s no wonder living offgrid in this little slice of paradise has become popular.

Positioned to take full advantage of the stunning views, a key design cue for this stately residence came from the owner’s desire to allow as much morning and afternoon sun into the house as possible.

Series 759 ComfortEDGE™ Sliding Doors offered the perfect solution for the main kitchen, living room, and dining area. With a maximum height of 3000mm and width of 2000mm, these doors provide a sleek and uninterrupted view of the lap pool and landscape in the distance.

The architect decided to further enhance the view with the addition of ceiling raked windows above to effortlessly capture the morning rays and 2:00pm sun.

Throughout the rest of the house, Series 626 FrontGLAZE™ and Series 450 CentreGLAZE™ double-glazed fixed windows capture the picturesque valley from every angle, while still maintaining comfort in winter and coolness in summer.

The greatest challenge for this project was manoeuvring the oversized glass panels into the aluminium framing. This required careful planning and a mechanical tele handler to be used on site, ensuring the glass was carried and installed in place accurately and safely.

For a bold finish, Custom Black was used to powder coat the aluminium framing.
