At AWS we have great pride in supporting the Emerging Architect’s Prize and especially the profession. As a long standing supporting corporate partner of the Australian Institute of Architects, we acknowledge the significant contribution emerging architects can make to the profession. 

As a business we love seeing individuals grow and succeed, we’re all about evolving ideas, new initiatives, new technologies and supporting Australian architecture and design.

Last Friday 27th February, we hosted a breakfast for Melissa Bright of MAKE Architecture, the winner of the Victorian Emerging Architects Prize. The breakfast was held at Ora Café in Kew where we were joined by the lovely Alison Cleary and Lachlan Macindoe from the Australian Institute of Architects in Victoria and the members of the jury. The jury members includend Chapter President Peter Malatt, previous winner Rebecca Naughtin, VYAG representative Mercedes Mambort, VYAG representative Phil Burns and our very own AWS specification representative Alastair Baldwin.

We were able to thank the members of the jury for their efforts in reviewing and evaluating submissions and of course congratulate Melissa for her great achievement. 

A wonderful morning of laughs and celebrations. Now to get back to specifying aluminium windows and doors!
