Framing the Outdoors

The ocean, a green wilderness, your leafy backyard, whatever the surroundings of your home, frame it with large windows and doors to highlight and make a feature of the outdoors.

Why buy a painting when you have natural, stunning surroundings. Some surroundings may even be prettier than a picture. Eyes will be immediately drawn to your windows and doors, showcasing what’s beyond, the unknown. By framing the outdoors, you will have a seasonal changing ‘picture’. One you will never tire of.

Connecting the outdoors to the inside of your home is a smart design idea. Natural light is a key element when designing a home, it creates space and improves energy efficiency.

To Australian property buyers, large windows and doors which provide natural light are a key design element. Implementing aluminium windows and doors in the early stages of design are critical.  

Aluminium windows and doors can be powder coated or anodised in an array of colours to suit your preference. I personally love bold, dark finishes as it makes a statement and the window then appears as a picture frame. Of course this depends on the style of your home. 

Sliding doors provide a non-obstructed view of the outdoors and are the ideal choice for linking the outdoors and indoors. 

So when designing a home, have a look at the landscape, figure out what could be a feature and consider this when implementing windows and doors.
