Architecturally inspired systems for superior style and performance

Let that breeze through!

Cross flow ventilation is an important design feature when building a home and is a vital part of a well-functioning home. It involves replacing warm air with cooler air via a path for cool air to push warm air out.

Aluminium windows and doors need to be installed in certain positions in order to allow cross flow ventilation to perform correctly. By installing windows and doors across from each other and slightly offset, this allows the air to mix and be distributed throughout the home. By encouraging and allowing the natural ventilation of a space, it inspires us and our environment to live healthily and also influences our mood.

When opened, awning, casement and louvre windows all allow for air to circulate around the home. Just by opening your windows you are minimising energy costs. Louvre windows encourage breezes to pass through the entire window space and also have the ability to direct the breeze to different parts of the room. Full height window blades always give the best appearance and are the most economical.

At AWS, our louvres have been especially designed for privacy, sun control and ventilation. They can be viewed here

The indoor living environments need a regular supply of clean fresh air because clean air acts as a natural sanitiser so that we can protect our health.
