Architecturally inspired systems for superior style and performance

Perspectives: Amy Muir

Amy Muir was announced as the 2016 National EAP winner, on Friday the 29th of April at the Australian Achievement in Architecture Awards.

Amy Muir graduated from RMIT with first-class honours in 2002 and was awarded both the Anne Butler Memorial Prize and the Architects Registration Board of Victoria’s Association of Women in Architecture Prize for her final thesis project. She then worked for Carr Design for seven years, in which time she was elevated to Director of Architecture.

In 2011 she co-founded Muir Mendes (now Muir Architecture) and now runs the practice as the sole director. The practice has since been recognized with awards at state and national level.

Every year we give the National EAP winner an opportunity to produce a short film as part of our perspectives series. Amy was given the beauty of an open brief.
