Architecturally inspired systems for superior style and performance

Perched high above Spring Creek Dam on the picturesque outskirts of Orange, NSW, the amazing Spring Creek House is a testament to its name – a welcome rebirth of a much-loved family home.

Using a combination of ancient stone, bronze anodised aluminium framing, ultra-modern interiors, timber and sleek lines, the exterior and interior of the home blend seamlessly into the environment. It’s the perfect marriage of materials with the surrounding elements of sky, water, undulating grasslands and bushland.

With expansive views over the town and beyond, the home encompasses a suite of indoor/outdoor living spaces, purpose-built for family living and entertaining.

A landscaped courtyard, enclosed BBQ dining space and primary living space that opens to the main view are linked via large sliding doors and defined by subtle level changes, ceiling height and materiality.

The centrepiece is a towering stone fireplace amidst an open plan home. And expansive glazed openings wrap around the occupants to allow uninterrupted views while protecting the spaces from the strong south-westerly winds that are so much a part of living on this site.

Key to the success of the project was the right choice of windows and doors, decided with the expert guidance of long-time local fabricators, Taberners. In close collaboration with the architect and builder, the team recommended windows and doors from the AWS range.

To ensure year-round comfort and to maximise views, AWS Double Glazed FrontGLAZE™ frames, designed specifically to accept 24mm Insulating Glass Units (IGUs), and Commercial CentreGLAZE™ windows now adorn the home.

Elevate™ SlideMASTER sliding doors provide a smooth, sleek visual finish and premium performance.

The sweeping wide plains that surround Orange are the perfect backdrop for this stunning home. Proof positive that, with a little TLC, amazing things can happen.
